Owners Joe & Sherry Mehm have been in the window coverings industry for 23 years now and know a thing or two about running retail establishments. For the first 13 years they owned retail stores and shop at home operations and eventually shifted with the market to doing business online. Over the last 10 years while doing business online they saw that market grow substantially. They also saw it get increasingly more difficult to compete while margins continued to slip.

As owners of a local retail operation themselves they saw first hand what the Internet (and big box stores) had done to local retailers. As the market grew softer and margins kept sliding they decided it was time to help "take back" that lost market share by instead offering their technology to small dealers as a monthly service. They felt that in doing so they would be able to form a large alliance of dealers who in turn would be able to share in buying power (better discounts), marketing ideas, etc to make themselves more profitable.

Although their technology took a year and a half to build and cost over $300,000 they felt that if enough dealers were interested and the price was low enough they could offer the software as a cheap monthly service. They crunched the numbers and came up with the super low price of only $49/month for their SureQuote software and only $69 for their LocalCommerce e-Commerce package. But you need to hurry.
